This community garden inspired project fosters the development of gross motor skills, fine motor skills, patience, self-confidence, social skills, and a sense of purpose as students work together to plan and work together to cultivate plants while implementing real world science concepts.
The Silsbee Education Foundation grant has transformed our Health Science lab into a space where students can experience healthcare beyond the textbook. With simulation equipment funded by the grant, students are practicing real patient care skills and preparing for clinical experiences and healthcare certifications.
I am speechless at the results of our Sensory Room Renovation. The students from the Academics for Life enjoy this space so much on a daily basis as well as the students from some resource classes and even SOLID.
